Denmark is home to some of the world’s most innovative approaches to housing—where architecture, community, and sustainability converge. From pioneering cohousing communities to energy-positive neighborhoods, Danish design demonstrates how collective living and regenerative systems can redefine affordability and resilience.

Through Trades Culture, students travel across Denmark to study these models firsthand. The program includes site visits to shared equity communities, ecological housing developments, and energy research centers, offering an inside look at how design and policy shape a more sustainable built environment. Participants leave with both inspiration and practical insight—tools to imagine and build new forms of home wherever they are.
